TeeVee in 2008

Last year I participated in a challenge with some friends to watch 365 movies in 365 days. I finished this task in early November. Yeah, crazy me. So now I'm kind of burned out on movies and have decided to catch up on some TV shows I either missed or couldn't watch because they are on channels I don't have. It helps that thanks to the WGA strike my DVR is pretty empty these days. I started off with season one of Dexter and I have to say it was amazing. I couldn't stop watching. Michael C. Hall is just as awesome as I expected him to be. I didn't know how he would follow up his amazing run on Six Feet Under and I certainly wasn't expecting this but I'm glad he did it and pulled it off with flying colors. I highly recommend checking this one out. I'm currently watching season four of The Wire, which is amazing, as expected. If you're not watching this show, you're really missing out. On deck: Twin Peaks, Weeds, Entourage, and Battlestar Galactica. Feel free to comment with your suggestions.

Really though, Kelly and I are catching up on 30 Rock on Netflix. I cannot get enough of Tracy Morgan. The guy cracks me up. We are also working on The Sopranos, Extras, Curb Your Enthusiams, Scrubs, and Arrested Development, all in fits and starts. We have picked up Arrested Development and are making good progress on that. And we were good with Scrubs until they released last season sometime this fall.

30 Rock is fantastic. I'll have to watch season 1 though. I'll definitely add Extras to the list. That's another one I've heard a lot about. Arrested Development is way up there on my best/funniest show ever list.

BSG should move up on your list, if you're watching them in that order. Check out The Riches as it's one of the best shows of last year. Eddie Izzard + Minnie Driver = win.

The Dexter is a great show. I missed the finale for the second season and now have to wait for it to come out on DVD. Showtime has said a third season is on the way though.

Just saw the first episode of season 1 of Dexter and liked it. I'm not going to say "loved it" just yet as i felt the scene with his Dad as a little kid was just idiotic. Hopefully that will be taken care of in future episodes.

I second 30 Rock. i just saw that for the first time this fall and loved it.
